Quality and Standards

The word "quality" has been synonymous with the British Gaskets Group since its foundation in 1929. We have always believed that the customer has the right to expect a product which is correct for the application for which it has been designed. Our attitude was vindicated when, in 1987, British Gaskets Ltd became the first company in the industry to be awarded BS 5750. In 1992, BGG was awarded an ISO 9002 certificate. In 1998, our site in Sudbury attained approval by Rolls Royce Aerospace for the supply of gaskets, one of the highest quality standards in the industry. In 2004, British Gaskets gained accreditation to the automotive quality standard ISO/TS 16949:2002.

These machines, along with the software, enable the company to provide products that have been measured to tolerances well beyond customer expectations.
